Rigging for 'Ritas
In November, 2008, Rigging for Rescue traveled down to San Carlos, Mexico to
visit a long-time expat friend. Our friend had lamented the lack of equipment and
training that the local rescate was afforded and asked if we could help out - the offer
to include fishing and a round of margaritas sealed the deal.
A number of generous equipment donations came from West Metro Fire, Rocky Mountain Fire and Ouray Mountain Rescue. We had a great complimentary training workshop that included the San Carlos Rescate volunteer group as well as the Guaymas Bomberos (firefighters) - and we considerably upgraded their equipment caches.
